ICF, International Coaching Federation, defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
General Definition
So what exactly is life coaching? Clients decide on a goal or something they would like to work on or change in their lives. It could be as simple as wanting to become more productive in their lives or find a way to having a better relationship with their family or as big as starting a new business. It is all up to the client and what they want to work on in their lives to create a future that is fulfilling and satisfying for themselves. It is all about working together to support the client's desired future, whether it is personal or professional.
The Coaching Relationship
Together we work as co-creators of your life. I am not here to tell you what to do as you are the expert of your life. Together we clarify you vision of your future. I follow your lead as we explore, design and craft what it is that you desire. Together we work out an action plan to get you to where you want to be.
Structure of a Coaching Session
When you are in a coaching session you will find the structure keeps you moving toward your desired goal. First, as your coach I will help you clarify or get a clear idea of what it is you want to work on, your goal. After seeing where you are and identifying where you would like to be, that is where some of the magic happens. I say magic because the insights that occur can feel so mind blowing that it feels like magic. After the middle there we work together to create actions for the client to work on between coaching sessions.
Life Purpose
In our sessions we identify your strengths, needs, your core values, and find what brings fulfillment and energy to your life. Once you are able to discover your values and purpose and are able to live in alignment you will experience a more fulfilling existence.
Eliminate Obstacles and Create New Habits
Through our exploration we may find habits that are obstacles in you life. By creating new positive habits you can move your life easier toward making your dreams become a reality.
Life Coaching is Not Therapy
As a life coach we look at your present to help you create the future you desire with occasional glimpses into your past. Therapy focuses on past experience and diagnose disorders. Life coaches work on designing your future.
Life Coaching is not Mentoring
In coaching we come together as equals. You are the expert of your life, and I bring the coaching tools to support you in exploring your potential.

First of all everything that happens in our sessions is completely confidential. I'm here for you! I provide a safe space, free of judgement to allow you to be free to express yourself and delve into what matters most to you.
